✴Apache Cordova (formerly PhoneGap) is a mobile application development framework originally created by Nitobi. Adobe Systems purchased Nitobi in 2011, rebranded it as PhoneGap, and later released an open source version of the software called Apache Cordova. Apache Cordova enables software programmers to build applications for mobile devices using CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript instead of relying on platform-specific APIs like those in Android, iOS, or Windows Phone.✴

► We are creating this App for HTML, CSS and JavaScript developers that want to learn about mobile development. During the course we will go through most of the Cordova key points and we will show you how to use most of the Cordova plugins.✦

► All of the examples provided can be used as a starting point in your own apps. We will also try to explain theory behind Cordova so you can get better picture of building process of hybrid mobile apps.
